Donna Cook is an author, editor, and publishing consultant. She’s published several contemporary romances under a pen name, and her epic fantasy adventure, Gift of the Phoenix, has won several awards.
Her publishing house, Penrose House Press, LLC, offers consulting and publishing services to Indie authors and publishers. Key areas of expertise include developing snappy back-end systems for marketing and project management, offering solutions that simplify critical financial decision-making, and providing cost-effective royalty report services. All services are designed to give authors and publishers more time to focus on what they love: writing and producing books.
Donna is co-founder of the Idaho Editor and Writers Association, and still takes on editing clients on a very limited basis. She specializes in developmental and substantive editing, and is known for her ability to wrangle wayward plots into submission. As an author herself, she understands the emotional fortitude it takes to bring a novel to completion. She’s known for her insightful, thorough, blunt analysis and her ability to be cheerleader, comforter, or drill sergeant as required.
When she’s not working with clients or writing her next novel, she spends her time chasing the kids, exploring delicious eateries in downtown Boise, and dancing with her talented husband.
She’s a sun-worshipper, tea-devourer, and word-slaying ninja.
